Flowers Buy Delivery Ecommerce Site Case Study
Background
The Harvest Garden established in 1983 is an Edinburgh based florist, they offer a fantastic range of exclusive flower arrangements and are one of the most unique suppliers of chocolates.
This is a family run business and they pride themselves on offering fresh flowers that are delivered daily along with a number of rare chocolate and sweet selections. The have expanded the shops range over the years with fruit hampers and a fantastic selection of wines and champagnes.
Brief
The owners saw the need to move their products to an online store and after dipping their toe in the world wide web a number of years ago they decided to make a bigger impact as the last site hadn’t quite hit the mark. Due to this being a very competitive market online with turnovers in the millions they really had to make this next site compete at this level.
We decided that changing the brand for online would be a good idea so they could hit not only an Edinburgh audience, but a UK and world wide audience and hence the new name for the ecommerce site “Flowers Buy Delivery”.
Due to the nature of the uniqueness of their products we informed them and helped them with the photography and camera equipment which they now do their selves only a daily basis.
This new site had to be highly indexable with keywords and products ranking well. The design had to be reflective to complete with other larger brands already online like Interflora, but at the same time have that individual touch of a family run business.
Result
The solution for us was our Redback Ecommerce and the owners at The Harvest Garden an constanly updating the site on their own with new products daily.
This site is in constant development and we have a number of new feature ideas that will be implemented over the coming months.
Already the site is starting to index well on Google and the likes and since its launch at the end of October 2009 its already had a number of orders with great feedback from customers.
