Your Social Media Calendar: August 2016

We are approaching the end of another month so it is time to share another social media calendar blog post, this time for August.

If you haven’t read one of these blogs by us before, we put them together with the aim of helping you plan out things you can post for your small business’s social media posts for the month ahead.

SOCIAL MEDIA & SMALL BUSINESS

From our experience working with businesses we know that social media and online marketing can be a tricky thing, often falling down a list of priorities as you try to juggle all the other parts of keeping a business running. A question we often get asked is ‘what should I post on social media?’ and we get it, it’s not easy to always think of new, interesting posts. The result? Repetitive, overly sale-sy posts promoting your website.

A great way to think of fresh ideas for your social media content is to use National Awareness Days.

By adding these into your social media posts you will keep your posts current and as many of these awareness day also have associated hashtags you can increase exposure of your brand and take part in a topical conversation. If you have some time to dedicate to your social media, and have some creativity, you may even be able to think of some clever ways to link awareness days to your company or products/services.
