It’s that time of the month again where we give you what you need to know to plan a great month ahead on social.

Once you’re up to speed it is time to get your calendar out and start jotting some of these events down to use within your marketing tweets and posts this month.
December Events to Use in Your Business’s Online Marketing / Social Media Strategy
GENERAL:
In December the Festive period is getting well under way. If your business wishes to mark Christmas you still have time to create Festive banners or add a Santa hat or tree to your logo. Many people will have begun or looking to begin their Christmas shopping so extra advertising on social media may be beneficial.
MONTH SPECIFIC:
AIDS Awareness Month
An annual designation observed in December. Referred to on social media as #AIDSAwarenessMonth
National Human Rights Month
Encourages awareness of human rights and the continuing fight many face in having access to life’s basic necessities.
WEEK SPECIFIC:
16th – 24th: Las Posadas
Las Posadas is a nine day celebration celebrated primarily in Mexico, Guatemala and portions of the Southwestern United States.
18th – 24th: Gluten-free Baking Week
26th – 1st Jan: Kwanzaa
Kwanzaa is a week-long holiday honoring African traditions and culture.
DATE SPECIFIC:
1st: Rosa Parks Day / World AIDS Day / National Day of Giving (#GivingTuesday)
6th: Hanukkah begins / National Mircowave Oven Day
25th: Christmas Day
26th: Boxing Day
31st: New Years Eve
